Music

Sometimes I take off my painter hat and put on my musician hat. I’ve been a part of several bands with many incredible musicians, and have produced two solo albums as well. Check ’em all out below!
Tonda Gossa (2013-Present)
Tonda Gossa is my current project. I suppose you could describe us as keyboard-driven dance rock. Melodic, driving, quirky yet elegant, this band draws on such influences as Genesis, Zappa, King Crimson, and classic video game music from the 90’s. We just finished our first LP, entitled "A Spectral Occasion". Click here to listen.
Magical Pig (2014-2016)
Magical Pig is my other current project. Our name is a reference to Frank Zappa's album "Joe's Garage". Our sound is eclectic, borrowing from such diverse influences as Tool, They Might Be Giants, Barenaked Ladies, Phish, Zappa, Run the Jewels, and Glass Animals. We just released our debut EP Saguaro. Solo Work (2011-2013)
I’ve released a full-length LP (Simian Experimentand a four-song EP (Waygooken) as a solo artist. These songs tend to take a more introspective, emotional tone than my collaborations, and are primarily influenced by such bands as Incubus, Tool, Frank Zappa, Primus, TV on the Radio, Yes, and more. Click here to listen.

The Bloop (2009-2012)
Perhaps our wackiest project, The Bloop is a wild ride through a veritable cornucopia of genres, styles, and textures. Infused with an absurd sense of humor throughout, this album is heavily influenced by the work of Frank Zappa, Primus, King Crimson, Ween, and many others. Click here to listen.

All Things Glowing Brightly (2006-2010)
ATGB is a fun and thoughtfully constructed project with one LP (self-titled) and one two-song single (A Ghosty Told Me). The music could be described as “joyously apocalyptic electro dance rock,” but even that won’t do us justice. Click here to listen.

The Grimpths (2006 - 2009)
The Grimpths is our most technical and progressive project. Fast-paced, intense, dynamic, and fearless, The Grimpths EP Seed was produced by well-known recording guru Matt Winegar (who produced the Primus albums “Suck on This” and “Frizzle Fry”). This exuberant little EP draws from a wide range of influences: Zappa, King Crimson, Primus, the Beatles, the Zombies, and many others. Click here to listen.
